Searching for a student in ShadowTrac is easy and can be performed in a variety of different ways. This makes the explaining of ShadowTrac's searching features much more difficult that actually using them.
The Alphabet Bar is one of the easiest ways to find students. By selecting the letter of the last name for the student you want to find, ShadowTrac will find all students with a last name that begins with that letter.
The Partial Search Button is one of the more powerful search features of ShadowTrac. By typing in a partial last name in the input field and pressing the Partial Search Button, ShadowTrac will display a list of all students with a last name beginning with the entered characters.
Another powerful feature of ShadowTrac is the ability to search for a student is by selecting pre-defined criteria and letting ShadowTrac serve-up the student records to you.
